Gold is one of the most precious materials in the world, thus, a perfect fit for the marque’s status. Bugatti presents a Chiron decked out in 24-karat gold elements, the Chiron L’Ebe.
This is the first time a Chiron is adorned with this much gold, and also the first time the Bugatti emblem has ever sparkled in high-quality gold on the horseshoe grille.
Only three of the handmade Chiron L’Ebe hyper sports cars will bear the new gold Macaron emblem in this unique design inspired by the Art Deco style of the 1920s.
Notably, the gold Macaron is based on the solid 970 sterling silver Macaron that is usually found on other Chiron models, of which is nickel-plated.
Be it so, for the L’Ebe, the nickel material serves only as the foundation and corrosion protection for the gold’s three to four micrometer-layered and polished finish.
Elsewhere, the gold elements continue on the horseshoe grille’s decorative trim, and the ‘EB’ emblem on the gas and oil cap, and the one at the rear.
The horseshoe grille stands out as being the most gold-covered surface, solely due to its sheer size that measures up to 17.3 inches in length and 15.7 inches wide.
Then, creating an impressive contrast, three refined yet striking gold-colored lines extend from the front to the rear across the L’Ebe’s Blue Royal carbon bodywork.
What’s more, the underside of the rear wing is adorned with gold ‘L’Ebe’ lettering, and Bugatti’s 8.0-liter W16 also gets a gold-finished engine cover.
Enveloping the interior is the color combination between Silk and Lake Blue, which coordinates harmoniously with the exterior theme.
It can be seen with L’Ebé lettering embroidery in the headrests, whereas the center console inlay features each of the dedicated owners’ initials.
In the door panels, Bugatti highlights its more than 110-year history with an impressive design sketch of the Chiron, Veyron 16.4, EB 110, Type 57 SC Atlantic and Type 35.
Outstandingly, each comes as a black drawing on a light background on the driver’s side, and as a light drawing on a dark blue background on the passenger’s side.
That said, a truly one-of-a-kind build, the Chiron L’Ebe is named after Ettore Bugatti’s eldest daughter, L’Ebe, who was born in 1903.
Bugatti Automobiles’ managing director for sales and marketing, Hendrik Malinowski, concluded, “With this special configuration and the use of her first name for the final three Chiron and Chiron Sport models, we wish to honor L’Ebe and afford her the place in our brand’s history that she deserves.”
